The beggar preacher - what's offensive is ALSO incredible

I had no clue that the gospels could be so exciting , trust me .. I am having a time of my life searching the gospels with a brilliant teacher 🌸the Holy Spirit .. sometimes it's so exciting that I cannot contain myself , sometimes it shakes my understanding and I take time to digest .. such is the gospel of Jesus Christ ... let's begin with the third post from John Chapter 9

I have be sharing from John 9 about a man who was blind from birth , he was a well known beggar on the streets .. people knew him .. but in the previous posts we saw the glory of God manifest .. when the one who could not see .. was SEEN by the most high 😉 amazing right ?

Now today's post is a repercussion of what happens when God himself SEES us and decides to transform our lives .... let's read from the text

"WE KNOW THAT GOD DOES NOT LISTEN TO SINNERS, BUT IF ANY ONE IS A WORSHIPPER OF GOD AND DOES HIS WILL, GOD LISTENS TO HIM. NEVER SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN HAS IT BEEN HEARD THAT ANYONE OPENED THE EYES OF A MAN BORN BLIND. IF THIS MAN (JESUS) WERE NOT OF GOD, HE COULF DO NOTHING. John 9: 32- 34

Response of Pharisees

"YOU WERE BORN IN UTTER SIN, AND WOULD YOU TEACH US? AND THEY CAST HIM OUT John 9:34

Take a deep breath, and get ready, for this will , I hope fill your heart with JOY. So the first passage are words spoken by.. the beggar preacher .. the blind man .. preaching .. to whom ? Just guess ... preaching to the PHARISEES.. can you believe it ?? Look at the way he puts out his message .... he had not read theological books ... he had not attended meetings or house groups ... in fact till the day of his first sermon , he was actually an average .. easily forgotten kind of BLIND BEGGAR.

But when Jesus touched him .. though this man didn't know Jesus , he had not learned from Jesus as the disciples were learning .. yet just one touch of Jesus ... opened his spiritual understanding.

In the first post from John 9 ,I mentioned that when Jesus saw him his spiritual eyes were opened .. but I didn't elaborate on that ... so here ..I can elaborate ..

IT was the TOUCH of Christ that opened this beggar preachers spiritual understanding , we know this - because he delivers his first sermon to the Pharisees .. and said .. dear men of God - I have not seen this Jesus , he just touched me , I was still blind , I went and washed and got saved .. so all I could gather from my healing is , that this man is NOT a SINNER but he is truly from GOD.

Now surely this beggar preacher was received with utter condemnation , the Pharisees were flabbergasted at the sheer boldness with which he was preaching to the protectors of law. How could he ?

And so they CAST HIM OUT, but wait this is not the end of the story 🙂rather this is the beginning .....

In chapter 8 ,the last verse tell us - that Jesus was CAST OUT OF THE TEMPLE as they wanted to stone him .....and by the end of chapter 9 we see this BEGGAR PREACHER being CAST OUT of the temple ... can you connect the dots ??

The moment we are touched by the hands of Christ .. our destiny begins to align with his own destiny ... your life will begin to cast a shadow of the life of Christ .... the beggar preacher .. received the gift of teaching .. as well as the condemnation that follows truth .. we see Christ's life being imprinted on this beggar preacher.

But then you will say .. 😆hey I don't want to be a beggar preacher if he would be treated like that 😏you would ask me what's IN IT FOR ME ?

Well there's a lot in it for us ,...The question is .. do we want it ? Verse 35 says " When Jesus heard that they had CAST HIM out , having FOUND him, he asked him " Do you believe in the son of man ? And the man replied .. lord I believe , and HE WORSHIPED HIM "

This man had not SEEN Jesus , yet in faith he preached his first sermon , for he had seen the goodness of God .. and only after a sermon of faith 😁😁😁😁Jesus came and MET the beggar preacher ... we know from the word of God that the beggar preacher WORSHIPED him when he saw him face to face.

Tell me , do you want to see Jesus face to face ? Do you want to be a worshiper of Christ in spirit and in truth ... then let's become like the beggar preacher ....

you might not have known the lord from your youth , you might be a recent follower of Christ , or maybe you are reading this today ... and wondering if Jesus is the choice you need to make .. believe me my beloved reader , it takes just a moment for God to open your eyes , and you could be the one standing in front of protectors of law .. preaching the goodness of Christ ...

I love this beggar preacher .. for just like the Pharisees .. the whole world will be amazed when beggar preachers rise ... for neither do they have learning .. nor did they have any understanding , they are the kind of people world would never imagine to be standing in boldness and preaching the goodness of Christ

BUt here's the thing......this is the GLORY of the king for he can choose a BEGGAR and turn him into a PREACHER 😁😁😁he can turn what is offensive to what is mighty and incredible.

Tell me .. now do you know why Jesus said to the disciples .........he is blind so that GOD MAY BE GLORIFIED ? Now do you know... he was talking about THE BEGGAR PREACHER 🔥
