If you are a LAMB .. you can surely be a SHEPHERD!

Today's post is a deep secret,

a secret to know why Jesus could say with authority I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD.

Lets start the third post from John 10."I am the GOOD shepherd" John 10:14

While this passage is extremely simple to understand .. for Jesus was simply teaching the qualities of a good shepherd, the nature of submissive sheep, but I had a doubt, I asked the lord, "lord why do you always use SHEEP and SHEPHERD analogy ?"

Old Testament had amazing men of God like David and Moses who were shepherds. Extraordinary thing is .. that God in heaven revealed the birth of his SON to the SHEPHERDS first and then to others. Why to the insignificant shepherds?? Now think, if you have to share an extremely significant news .. would you share it to the local vegetable vendor ?? Or the media or influential people. It clearly pointed that God has a history and some memories related to Shepherds and sheep, and that's exactly where he took me to explain this passage. Let's understand.

Sheeps or lambs (baby sheep) were used as sacrifice according to the levitical law ..now the very reason sheep were sacrificed were to transact the sin of the person who offers the sacrifice on to the sheep. So basically , the REAL SACRIFICE before the eyes of almighty was not the innocent sheep but PEOPLE. The reason he calls us sheep is, the constant reminder that we were the original sacrifice, for the wages of sin is death.

Don't believe me ? Look at Abraham then. Lets see imprints of this in Abraham's journey to mount Moriah with his son Issac. God told Abraham, "take the son whom you LOVE and offer him to me" Listen please, God was opening his heart before Abraham in this act, he said go Abraham take your son sacrifice him and while Abraham lay Issac on the alter, God send a lamb in the thicket.

God provides a SUBSTITUTE for ISSAC the LAMB, the SHEEP. A clear indication that mankind was the original sacrificial lamb or sheep. God told Abraham his friend clearly in this act, "Abraham this whole world is sheep before my alter of judgment ... but I love MERCY more than the SACRIFICE of judgement" (Hosea 6:6) even today we can hear Gods heart beat speaking to Abraham, beloved friend, for your son .. I will surely send a substitute, a lamb in the thicket but my son Jesus will never have a substitute never, my obedient son, one in a million, will take the place of millions of sheep become their substitute.

Right from the garden, right from the fall, right from the day Jesus said yes to the father to go on that cross . Right from the FIRST SACRIFICE where God covered Adam and Eve with animal skin, the SHEEP and SHEPHERD relationship became very important to God and to us.

What should we receive from this ? Well, our role on planet Earth is to imitate Jesus Christ and here's the truth, pay attention revelation 7:17 says " FOR THE LAMB IN THE MIDST OF THRONE WILL BE THEIR SHEPHERD, and guide them to the springs of living water " Jesus was a lamb first and then a shepherd, that's the secret, that is why John the Baptist opened the new covenant by shouting on top of his voice ... BEHOLD THE LAMB of GOD .. that is why Isiah 53 said " he was afflicted but did not open his mouth just like a LAMB"

My sweet readers, today we have many shepherds .. but do we have lambs too ? We can't be a GOOD shepherd without first being a LAMB ...If there is ONE quality of lamb that this post focuses on from the start, then that is, the nature to BE SACRIFICED for some ones else's benefit. I think the world will teach us to become shepherds, but what the world does not understand is "John 10:17 which says "FATHER LOVES me , because I lay down my life and I do it of my own accord" and I am sure most of us would be willing to go any length to hear heaven say "that's my beloved son .. my beloved daughter"

People of God, will you make a decision to be a lamb in this world, a lamb is practically of no use. He is just meant be feasted on, he is small and playful, he doesn't even know when they will put him to death. If you are willing today to lay down your aspirations , desires, positions , and become like an insignificant playful lamb, then here comes the SURPRISE .., God will automatically transform you into a SHEPHERD .. I don't even want to elaborate on that, else we shall get greedy to have what Jesus had .. but the point is .. it's going to be awesome.

So tell me ? Is it better to be a lamb and then receive devine sheperdmanship ( just created a new word 😆) .. or the other way round,
